Set up Split Rule payments
Updated 3 days ago
Split Rule lets you automatically split incoming FPX payments between your account and up to two verified Billplz recipients. You set a fixed amount (RM) or percentage (%) for each recipient, and the system divides the payment at the point of collection.
Before you begin
- Split Rule works only with FPX (online banking). Card and e-wallet payments do not support Split Rule.
- All recipients must have verified Billplz accounts.
- Split Rule cannot be edited after submission. To change it, you must stop the collection entirely.
Step 1: Open Split Rule settings
Go to Collection in your dashboard. Locate the collection you want to configure, click the dropdown button next to Add Bills, then select Split Rule from the menu.

Step 2: Set the owner's share
In the Collection Owner section, enter either:
- Fixed Cut (RM): A set amount in ringgit (e.g., MYR 10.00)
- Variable Cut (%): A percentage of each payment (e.g., 10%)
You can set one or both. At least one is required. The calculation preview in Step 4 shows exactly how the payment will be divided.

Step 3: Add recipients
Enter the recipient's Billplz login email in the Recipient 1 section. Set their share using Fixed Cut (RM), Variable Cut (%), or both.
If you want recipient information to appear on bill and receipt pages, tick Show the bill header of Recipient 1.
To add a second recipient, tick Add Recipient 2, then enter their email and share.

Step 4: Review the calculation
The form displays an automatic calculation showing how a sample payment (e.g., MYR 100) will be divided. Verify the amounts match your intended split before proceeding.

Step 5: Submit the split rule
Review the Terms and Conditions, then click Submit. The split rule applies immediately to all new bills created in this collection.
