Transfer organization ownership
Updated 2 weeks ago
Organization ownership gives full control over account settings, member management, billing, and all collections. You can transfer ownership to another active member of your organization. The new owner must accept the transfer before it takes effect.
Before you begin
- You need organization owner permissions to initiate a transfer.
- The person receiving ownership must already be an active member of your organization. If they're not a member yet, invite them first. See [Invite members to your organization].
- The new owner must accept the ownership transfer before it becomes effective.
Step 1: Go to the Organizations panel
Under the Organizations panel, select the organization you want to transfer. Click Manage Members to view the member list.

Step 2: Transfer ownership to a member
In the member list pop-up, locate the active member you want to transfer ownership to. Click the Transfer button next to their email address.

Step 3: New owner accepts the transfer
The new owner receives a notification about the ownership transfer request. They sign in to their Billplz account and go to their Organizations panel to review the transfer.
The new owner clicks Accept to complete the ownership transfer, or Decline to reject it.

Once accepted, the ownership is transferred immediately. The previous owner becomes a regular member of the organization.
