Card payments: rates, settlement, and compliance
Updated 4 days ago
Card payments (Visa and Mastercard) let your customers pay by debit or credit card on the Billplz payment page. Card payments are not enabled by default and must be activated on your account before use.
How to activate card payments
To activate card payments on your account, email team@billplz.com to request activation. The Billplz team will request supporting documents to complete KYB (Know Your Business) verification. Submit the documents via email as instructed.
Once your documents are verified, card payments are activated on your account. You can then enable card payments on specific collections from the collection's payment method settings. See Enable or disable a payment method for instructions.
See Understanding identity verification (KYC and KYB) for more on the verification process.
Rates
Transaction fees vary by membership tier and card origin (local vs foreign). See the Billplz pricing page for current rates. No annual activation fee is charged.
Card transaction fees are deducted directly from the payment amount before settlement, not from your Credit Balance.
Settlement
Card payments settle on a T+2 business days schedule. Funds from a card transaction processed on Monday reach your bank account on Wednesday.
Card payments have a longer settlement period than FPX due to chargeback risk management and card network processing requirements.
Daily Collection Limit
All accounts start with a default Daily Collection Limit (DCL) of MYR 3,000 for card payments. This limit applies to the total value of card transactions you can collect per day.
To request a DCL revision, contact the Billplz Support team at team@billplz.com.
