Enable or disable membership auto-renewal
Updated 2 days ago
This article explains how to enable or disable automatic renewal for your Standard membership plan. Auto-renewal ensures your subscription continues without interruption by automatically deducting the annual fee from your Billplz Credit balance.
Before you begin
- You need a Standard membership subscription. See Subscribe to a membership plan if you're on Basic.
- Ensure your Billplz Credit balance has sufficient funds to cover the renewal fee. See Reload your credit balance if needed.
How auto-renewal works
When auto-renewal is enabled, the system automatically deducts the annual Standard membership fee from your Credit Balance two days before your subscription ends. See the Billplz pricing page for current membership rates.
The fee is non-refundable and non-transferable once deducted.
Enable auto-renewal
Option 1: During subscription purchase
When subscribing to Standard membership, tick the Auto-Renew checkbox before completing your purchase.

Option 2: From your dashboard
If you're already subscribed to Standard but auto-renewal is off:
Step 1: Open the Credit Balance dropdown
Log in to your Billplz dashboard and click the dropdown arrow next to Credit Balance at the top of the page.

Step 2: Enable auto-renewal
In the panel, locate the Auto-Renew toggle and click it to enable.

Step 3: Confirm the action
A confirmation dialog appears. Type ENABLE and click OK to confirm.

The toggle changes to green and displays Auto-Renew: ON.

Once enabled, no further action is required. The system automatically renews your subscription at the end of each cycle.
Disable auto-renewal
Option 1: During subscription purchase
When subscribing to Standard membership, leave the Auto-Renew checkbox unticked before completing your purchase.
Option 2: From your dashboard
If auto-renewal is currently on and you want to disable it:
Step 1: Open the Credit Balance dropdown
Log in to your Billplz dashboard and click the dropdown arrow next to Credit Balance at the top of the page.
Step 2: Disable auto-renewal
In the panel, locate the Auto-Renew toggle (currently green/ON) and click it to disable.

Step 3: Confirm the action
A confirmation dialog appears explaining that your subscription will not renew automatically and will be downgraded to Basic at the end of the current period. Type DISABLE and click OK to confirm.

The toggle changes to display Auto-Renew: OFF.

Your Standard membership remains active until the end of the current subscription period. After that, your account reverts to Basic membership.
